Building Optimal Radio is a podcast for custom builders and remodelers. The lessons and strategies you will learn from our interviews with leading industry experts and top performers will give you all the tools you need to grow your revenue, improve your bottom line, and build your brand.

The show is hosted by Jared Gossett. Jared is founder and co-owner of Gossett and Company, an innovative, employee-owned custom home building company in Austin, Texas. The company builds high quality custom homes that center on three tenants: craftsmanship, design, and performance. They believe in combining innovation with time-tested principles, and are working to advance the industry in several key areas, especially with health and wellness in the homes they build.

Jared started building and remodeling homes on his own in 2009, and later formed a partnership to start Gossett Jones Homes, a company that focused primarily on building ‘spec’ homes and small multi-unit communities in urban Austin. They achieved early success, earning a spot on the Inc 500 Fastest Growing Companies list in 2014 and winning Austin Business Journal’s Builder of the Year in 2012. Prior to that, Jared worked in investment banking and real estate private equity, developing a strong base of knowledge around structuring deals and investments and raising capital for projects.

The team at Gossett and Company, including Lindsay Davis, Dave Kerns, and Brian Winburne, will join the show from time to time to offer their wisdom. Combined, the team brings more than 75 years of construction and building experience and themselves have won personal accolades in the industry, including Brian Winburne’s Construction Manager of the Year Award in 2015.
