In today's episode, we reflect on the mystery of Love. Ruth shares a thought-provoking and inspired writing that lends itself to contemplating this divine mystery. We're just following Mother's Day weekend and this prompts us to consider how Divine Love expresses through and as motherly love. We explore how difficult emotions may block our awareness of Love's presence and yet we also have the choice to look for Love's presence calling us and responding to us through the difficult emotions. We recognize the need to be deliberately open to Love and may use a gratitude practice to help grow our awareness of Love's presence. Ruth aptly reminds us though that just naming things for which we are grateful does not have the same effect as allowing ourselves to open our hearts and soak in the felt sense of Love as It comes to us in each moment. This leads us to ponder the power of not only receiving Love but also giving freely of our Love. As such, we allow Love to multiply like a magic penny! Janine forgot the words to this childhood song during the recording so here they are: "Love is like a magic penny. Hold it close and you won't have any. Lend it, spend it, and you'll have so many...they'll roll all over the floor!"
