This episode we talk about different types of investment vehicles:
Bonds - The safer investment of them all. Coming from companies and government that are looking to fund a project. They look for investors to lend them money while giving them a fixed interest rate at 5 years, 10 years or even up to 30 years.
Stocks - This is from public companies that are splitting they're company into shares. They look for investors to put money in so they can run they're operations. When you buy stock of a company, you are literally part owner of that company. This is riskier because a company can lose it all depending on different situations.
Index Funds - This is the safest way to make some good returns. This is made up of different stocks so it diversifies your portfolio without you having to do anything really. The pro's recommend you invest in these if you don't want to do any of the work of due diligence.
Mutual Funds - This is the most expensive investment vehicle. It has professionals investing your money based on different information like charts and other technical analysis. You have to pay a pricey fee for them to work for you. Studies have shown you can do better investing in a index fund.
ETF - Like index funds they have different stocks into one. Exchange Traded Funds however focus on a certain sector of the market like (electric vehicles, cannabis, oil, gold, etc.)
