Growing up in South Park, Houston, Texas, I lived a comfortable life with my mom and stepfather. My mom was a kept woman, and my stepfather, who married my mom when I was around 4 or 5, was the only father figure I knew. Despite our seemingly perfect life, underlying tensions about money began to build, leading to a tragic night that shattered our family.

Through my mom's incredible strength and resilience during her recovery, I learned the importance of financial independence. This experience shaped my views on financial security and helped me understand the patterns in my life that needed healing.
