Today I want to talk about something that I'm trying to take more seriously in my life. I realised recently after a coaching call with my friend that my sleep schedule is having a huge impact on every aspect of my life. It's pretty much a snowball effect. You know how the cycle goes: - go to bed late - wake up late - too tired to hit the gym - productivity suffers - have a nap - another late night because you're not tired It's relentless. That's' why I'm on a mission to change my sleep for the better, starting with this short list of 8 things I've started doing in an attempt to optimize my sleep. Bit of a different episode today, but I hope you enjoyed it nonetheless! As always, thanks for listening. 91 days ago I took my first steps on what I thought would be a life-changing journey. So, why I wasn't I excited? I still remember the feeling I had the day I was due to leave, it wasn't happiness, elation, excitement or whatever else you'd expect. It was just nothing. No emotion whatsoever. That pretty much sums up the kind of person I was before I left for Thailand. So has 3 months of travelling made a difference? Hell yes. Although, not in the ways I expected. There were a lot of ups and downs, obstacles to overcome, and barriers to break down. But now, sitting here in Da Nang, Vietnam, I'm feeling amazing. I'm grateful, I'm driven, and most of all... I feel genuinely happy. That's something I haven't been able to say for a long time. As always, thanks for listening. Personally, I've noticed a huge shift in my productivity when I spend 15 minutes a day - 10 at night and 5 in the morning - planning what I'm going to get done. When you have a specific roadmap to follow it makes it much easier to stay focused and productive for much longer. In this episode of the Life Unlocked podcast, I go through the fundamental points of planning your day, as well as providing some advice on how to remove distractions and improve your discipline. One of the biggest problems we hear at Game Quitters is from people struggling to make friends after they quit gaming. It's easy to understand why. As a result, I recorded this episode to try and offer some guidance about what you can do in this situation. It's not easy, and it definitely takes a lot longer than you think to build a strong friendship, but it's so worth it. Thanks for listening.
