Our Solutions CIC are supporting 30 people to tell a story about their lived experience in 3 ways; a written book, a painting of the past, present and future and as an audio story. In this episode you hear the story Alexandra, a young retiree.... Having sold up a business my husband of over 23 years and I founded after uni. I’m a dual national, American/British, who lives mostly in the French Alps. Nearly 6 years of retirement have afforded me the ability to welcome a huge personal transformational journey I never could’ve imagined. Throughout my life, there have always been so many things I didn’t understand—a lot to do with my family & personal relationships, and the coping mechanisms I developed growing up in a dysfunctional family weren’t always serving me well into adulthood. After my Mom’s death, I ended up having a “midlife crisis” at 42 which turned everything around! #stories #empowerment #arts #mentalhealth
