This is the first question that all Ecom beginners ask when starting an e-business and it's important to know the foundations of Ecommerce before you can start scaling your online store. The first thing you need to do is TO START LEARNING. Yes, this is the hard bit at the start as you’re getting introduced to this whole world. But doing your research and just knowing the basics of Ecommerce is your first step to start a successful Ecommerce business. You’ll need to learn how to: 1. Build your website 2. Find great products 3. How to listen to your customers and solve their problems 4. How you’re going to fulfill the products 5. How to get reviews for your products from customers 6. How to get quality traffic to your website 7. How to expand your brand into new areas 8. How to hire people to run your Ecom store so you’re not doing all the work. There’s a tonne of stuff to learn here but I assure you that there is a fun adventure ahead of you with learning all these things and a lot more Ecommerce business opportunities. But you need to be really careful. There are plenty of scammers and gurus out there who would try to sell you their big courses, but the truth is they don't have any interest teaching you how to start an Ecommerce store. They just want you to buy their overpriced course and take your money. So yeah, I recommend holding off on buying a course unless you really research it like crazy, trust the person teaching, and you can even see reviews from other people about the course. In starting your Ecommerce business, you might also have fear of failure, fear of success, or you just feel like you need to know 100% that what you’re about to build is going to work. All that knowledge in your head is worth nothing unless you use it. So create your first store and just focus on getting 1 sale. That’s your first goal.
