“I used to be the largest dairy consumer on the planet. I used to eat so much dairy and meat. The more that I looked into the dairy industry, the more that I saw that it was the singular, most inhumane industry on the planet, that we've all been lied to, including myself, for years. I always believed that the picture on the milk carton, the cow standing next to her calf in the green field with the red barn in the back was true. It’s certainly the complete opposite.” – Richard (Kudo) Couto Richard (Kudo) Couto is the founder of Animal Recovery Mission (ARM), an organization solely dedicated to investigating extreme animal cruelty cases. ARM has led high-risk undercover operations that have resulted in the shutdown of illegal slaughterhouses, animal fighting rings, and horse meat trafficking networks. Recently, they released a damning investigation into two industrial dairy farms outside of Phoenix, Arizona supplying milk to Coca-Cola’s Fairlife brand. What they uncovered was systemic animal abuse, environmental violations, and a devastating betrayal of consumer trust. While Fairlife markets its products as being sourced "humanely," ARM’s footage tells a very different story—one of suffering, abuse, and corporate complicity. Despite the evidence, this story has been largely ignored by mainstream media—likely due to Coca-Cola’s massive influence and advertising dollars.…

Answering the question: How should someone with a planned surgery (say an ACL replacement) plan for effective rehab? What kind of provider should they look for? How do you know it’s going well (or not)? What should you do if it’s not going well? Etc.

Answering the questions: Why didn't you go out on your own to create your own PT office that could thrive by making changes in the way it works and operates? Second question, with many of us having the ability to work from home and have more flexible schedules what are some best-in-class ways for us laypeople to stay fit, avoid injury, or just be more healthy?…
Answering the question: Why is it more often less strenuous to keep moving versus standing still?

The podcast is changing! I'm done with my stories, now I want to hear yours. Listen in for more details.
Answering the question many have asked, if I could do it all over again, would I still become a physical therapist. Just so you know, this one is a little heavy.
Try to hide as you might, we rehab professionals can read you like a book. Let me explain what I mean...
Sometimes it's difficult for us humans to look outside of our own personal experiences. In this episode, I hope to give context to what can happen to someone when life really screws them over. My hope is that it can help to give some perspective on one's experience versus another's.
The title says it all. I'm just going to tell a story of an event in my practice. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey.

...a LOT of people. But it's not for the reason you think. Listen on to see what I really mean.
M
My Name is Adam, and I’m a Physical Therapist

This one is for providers. I cannot stress this enough: We do not know as much as we think we do. Be careful how sure you are about a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or even just judgement calls in daily life.

This is simply my take on physical therapy practice. It's not meant to be a guide to being a better physical therapist. It's only me sharing my path with others.

My Name is Adam, and I’m a Physical Therapist

There's no shortage of information out there about good and bad providers. However, patients, have you ever thought about what your responsibility is in the healthcare relationship? This is not an episode to wag fingers. It's only to give you insight into how things work that will allow you to get the most out of your healthcare experiences.…
M
My Name is Adam, and I’m a Physical Therapist

Let's have a frank discussion about what is verbally stated versus what is actually happening. Providers and patients should get something out of this one...even with all the math I talk about.

The title of this episode is not a joke nor is it hyperbole. There people who live among us today who have superpowers like we see in the movies. Okay, that was hyperbole, but if you take it from "superpower and drop it to just "powers" then it's no longer hyperbole. Listen on to see what I mean.
M
My Name is Adam, and I’m a Physical Therapist

I step back into my collegiate days where I was obsessed with philosophy. It's not just an episode on epistemology for the sake of it. It's about practical application of epistemology.

Providers, are you threatened or scared by chronic pain? It doesn't have to be frightening, and knowing how to approach it can make a huge difference for a patient.
M
My Name is Adam, and I’m a Physical Therapist

Am I really that callous?! Yes, but not in the way you might think the title of this episode suggests.

Providers, are you focused on the right thing? Are you thinking and behaving like a textbook? Is academics really the right way to work in rehab medicine. I don't think it is, and in this episode I'll explain what I mean.
M
My Name is Adam, and I’m a Physical Therapist

Welcome to the opening story behind what the purpose of this podcast is. It's not a happy tale, but it is one that resonates with so many rehab medicine providers. The hope is to help other providers know that they are not alone.
