How One Army Ranger is Changing the Field Of Medicine
Manage episode 449085535 series 3613961
Stephen Bollinger graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1987 and then began his career path within the U.S. Army, ultimately taking part in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. In 1991, he was proudly awarded the Bronze Star Medal for exceptional service during combat.
And he realized something important - Your service doesn't have to stop after the uniform comes off. In this episode you'll learn how you can position your service attitude to change an industry - or just your workplace.
After serving in war, Stephen Bollinger wanted to make a difference in helping people in the world of health.
For the past few years, he has identified certain “problem spots” in women’s health care and has found ways to bring medically proven technologies directly to the end user. For him, his career is inspired by the idea that military service never fully ends because even when you leave the service, you are always thinking about how to make the lives in the field better. By innovating in women’s health, he is able to touch the lives of both females in and out of the military, ultimately improving the lives of millions.
Bollinger has seven medical patents with multiple pending, and over the past 20 years has built (and sold) four successful businesses. He has held multiple leadership positions from Founder, President, and Chief Operations Officer of early stage companies, to an even broader spectrum of roles across global operations, marketing, product management and sales. Currently, he is President & CEO of Rinovum Women’s Health LLC, where he has helped innovate and launch new women’s healthcare products directly available to the end user, including The Stork Products (an at-home conception aid) and Revive (a reusable bladder support). 1 in 3 women experience light bladder leaks and are in need of this type of solution, especially physically active women.
