The Streets of Our Lives

This is the first episode of the series "The street I lived on."

This series is not about the streets we have lived on. The phrase is figurative.In this series, I invite people to talk about their difficult life experiences, and how they have found healing from that time.

As the very first episode of the series, I figured it made sense to talk a little about what life was like for me growing up.

In this episode, I will discuss the following:

• The street I (Lina La Rue) grew up on
• Trying not to fully blame my parents for my childhood trauma
• How my parents' marriage was doomed from the start
• Being raised by two people who were both abused in their younger years
• Desperately wanting to please my father
• My parents' divorce and the impact that had on me
• Trying to protect my mother
• Living in two stressful households
• The worst day of my life
