People are ready to take off, but should you get off? Joining the mile-high club may seem easier to get into than most membership organizations, but it may not be worth the bragging rights. In the headlines on #Theupdate this Monday, one person was killed and two people were injured in a broad-daylight stabbing on an East Village sidewalk Sunday evening, cops said. The MTA has halted construction projects at two Queens rail stations to put pressure on Gov. Hochul after she knocked down the unpopular congestion pricing plan, sources said. And in Washington, in the coming days, the Supreme Court will confront a perfect storm mostly of its own making: a trio of decisions stemming directly from the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
