Today is Day 1 of TINAH’s 12 Days of Christmas Chaos To Calm Challenge - helping you find a moment of peace and mindfulness to destress and calm your nervous system in amongst the busy holiday period.
The challenge practise we’re sharing with you today is commonly known as square or box breathing.
This is a breathing technique designed to help you transition from a state of heightened nervous system activation to a more relaxed state. The practice involves a structured breathing pattern that includes inhaling, holding, exhaling, and holding again, all for 4, 4, 4, 4, equal breathing counts.
