Lionel Bailey pastored various churches for 20 years and is a Navy Chaplain. He is a church leader who has been involved in ministry for over 23 years. He is passionate about helping churches and church leaders grow and thrive. However, he is more passionate about assisting people to build strong lives after experiencing church hurt.

Lionel Bailey was a part of a research group that looked into why people were not attending church. They found that a big reason was because of the perceived leadership problem. People were seeing church leaders raising money for jets and luxurious homes and getting caught up in sex scandals, and they didn't want to be a part of religious institutions. Lionel had his own experience with this when he was in college and his home church went through a difficult time.
