I noticed people love to apologize at work, especially for things that do not need apologizing. Apologizing too much can cost you your credibility and make you look weak, which is something that does not go too well with shooting to the top in your career. Showing weakness is not a flaw, do not get me wrong, but apologizing for things that do not deserve an apology is.
