A Hard Look at White Supremacy w/ Jill Nagle
Manage episode 413376876 series 3513391
White supremacy isn’t just in the history books; it’s baked into our daily lives, from the shows we watch to the ways we work, often without us even noticing. "It's the water that we swim in. And we don't know because we're the fish," says Jill Nagle.
Jill has written multiple books, created a somatic counseling approach called Wisdom of the Body, and founded Evolutionary Workplace to help leaders build anti-racist organizations.
In this episode, she and neurobiology expert Rajkumari Neogy delve into the past and present forces that uphold the idea of "white supremacy mythology." They examine collective stories like the American Dream that permeate through our culture, the connection between loneliness and violence, and how one might begin to mediate a productive conversation between IDF and Hamas.
