Euan Crumley and Jason Henderson of the Athletics Weekly team report live from Paris on the first day of the athletics competitions. Despite some challenging weather conditions the athletics kicked off this morning with the race walks. The team look ahead to tomorrow's action at the Stade De France too including the heats for the men's 1500m and the women's 100m heats.
