We've talked, learned, and listened about tons of ways to eat healthier. We've dove down into different types of nutrients and minerals but, we've never talked about how to actually cook them.
I've learned that clients say they know how to eat healthy, but then they complain that all they eat is chicken and rice.
Personally, I feel this same way, which is why I go out to eat. I know how to cook some foods, but making a Persian dish is just out of the question.
So now we introduce Chef Allen Campbell, culinary genius!
Chef Allen started from humble beginnings, realizing that he loves food and just wanting to learn how to make it. From there he went into culinary school and worked his way up to the ladder.
He worked hard to move up from 2 star to 5 star restaurants and even became Tom Brady's cook, but this is only the beginning of this journey. He really came into his own, when he opened up his own meal company that he has been pushing out from Boston to Miami.
He calls this AC Kitchen, where he makes organic, real food and hand delivers it to your door!

So we want to know, what are some cooking techniques we can use to eat healthier?!
What different types of Oils Should I cook with?
Turns out, you should really limit cooking with oils. Canola Oil is oil that comes from rapeseed, so they changed it to Canada Oil, hence Canola to make it sound more Italian. It has a low cooking point and is easily mass produced.
Olive Oil is a good finisher but, also has a low cooking point, so try to use heat with it.
Avocado Oil and Coconut Oil have higher cooking points and are great in moderation to us for cooking. But did you that you can just use water...
It is a lot cheaper and way healthier.
What is phytic acid? Why is phytic acid bad and how can we avoid them?
Phytic acid or anti-nutrients can cause GI Inflammation and end up really hurting our tracks. They come from unprocessed, brown rice and beans. In order to avoid them you need to have them sit in water for 24 hours with a little bit of apple cider vinegar. This will make them more easily digestible and avoid any GI issues.
