DrunkCast Q&A #9 | MTFP Ep.95
Manage episode 280168950 series 2494063
The DrunkCast Q&A is a tradition on the More Than Fitness Podcast where I answer my audiences' questions — while intoxicated. It's the show that just keeps getting better and better as time goes on. I cover diet, exercise, habits, life, and, sometimes, completely ridiculous submissions by my listeners. It's always a treat, so pour up a drink and get ready for a silly goose time (and hopefully you'll learn something).
QUESTION TIMESTAMPS:
(2:14) What has been your most surprising weight loss week? I remember one week I lost pounds after having a big Sunday meal with the family, six pints, and a fried chicken burger (large portion) and chips and was so shocked I had lost so much weight after 'treating myself.'
(9:15) How do you feel about coaches that start to extend themselves into other modalities of “coaching” that go beyond fitness/nutrition (the mindset around it, etc.) coaching? I’ve noticed that once a personal trainer starts seeing some level of success in coaching their clients they start to post more and more about things like mental health, endocrine health, etc. In my experience, I’ve seen a troubling amount of wholly unqualified coaches start answering questions around these things. I’ve noticed you’re quick to refer to experts in the field that someone asks a question in (which is commendable and good) but the amount of poor/unqualified answers and advice I’ve seen given by fitness coaches seems to be an ever-growing issue. Curious as to your thoughts on this!
(14:25) Thoughts on incorporating Bosu trainers in workouts?
(20:00) Did you go from 9-5 life to entrepreneur or have you always been an entrepreneur?
(28:04) How long should one ideally bulk before cutting?
(34:21) Biggest takeaway since moving to NYC?
(39:31) Thoughts on women taking CLA and creatine for toning? Or are they just for bodybuilding?
(47:23) After being sick with COVID or the flu, how long should you rest before working again?
(51:01) Biggest thing you miss about KY?
