I asked and recorded them sharing about the lessons their mothers taught them. It was the first time I’d ever heard my grandmother speak about her own mom, Ama. It was so beautiful and so funny. I also share so many of the stories you all submitted about your lessons learned from the mothers in your life. After having committed to 100 days of my ‘MMRT’ morning routine and falling off it one morning after a long night, this caused her to go into a spiral of negative self-talk and of breaking down her own confidence. This response was triggered by the feeling of having “failed at something”, and it became a time for her to flex her resilience muscle and recognize the strength within herself. Finding Hope During Hard Times with Katie Zeppieri: Lesson 42 35:05

How To Work Through Self Doubt By Asking Yourself 5 Questions: Lesson 32 37:12

We have all felt self-doubt show up in our lives. It’s normal, and it can sometimes be a great teacher. The importance lies in how we choose to work through it. In this week’s episode, join Komal as she shares the 5 steps you can take to manage your self-doubt when it rears its head. On the week of their anniversary, Komal and Mitch discuss moments when self doubt has shown up in their lives and the lessons they have learned from it such as: How self- doubt can show up when we are on the cusp of a major achievement or change that will cause change and growth in our lives [4:05] Sometimes self-doubt can hide under the veil of procrastination, and we procrastinate to avoid doing something we believe will be difficult for us and cause change. [11:36] It’s very important to learn to distinguish between fear and intuition, as self-doubt can sometimes be a sign that we are not doing the right thing that is meant for us. [16:43] Self-doubt can be an indicator that something in our lives needs to be organized or re-aligned [20:16] In my personal experience, I have felt self doubt as a woman of colour existing in a male dominated, predominantly white space. Self-doubt can show up when we are existing in spaces that weren’t built for us, and it’s not our fault. It’s important to name that, and recognize it. I asked and recorded them sharing about the lessons their mothers taught them. It was the first time I’d ever heard my grandmother speak about her own mom, Ama. It was so beautiful and so funny. One of my favourite moments in the show was when I came upon this realization: “The lessons we've learned from our mothers, we don't really learn them until we live them.
