On this week's episode, Harvey and Austin have a unique conversation around the idea of energy. Specifically, that there is a fundamental problem or misunderstanding about how the brain and body communicate based on available energy and energy efficiency. In fact, most Americans - even the majority of professional athletes - are metabolically inefficient. The duo discusses how energy is a feedback loop for survival (most of us are in survival mode) and decision making, as well as how the body will conserve energy at all costs when a person's energy systems are not efficient. This will lead our brain to only let the body spend energy when we "feel like it" a.k.a. highly motivated.
