Understanding Graves’ Disease:
An autoimmune disorder where the immune system mistakenly attacks the thyroid.
Symptoms include weight gain, heart palpitations, shaking, and fatigue.
Brain-Body Connection:
Emotional brain (amygdala) triggers stress responses (fight/flight).
Cognitive brain (prefrontal cortex) regulates emotional responses.
Yoga helps balance these systems through asanas (postures) and relaxation techniques.
