Welcome back to Let Rest the Burn with The Evolved Therapist. Today we return to the shadow archetype The Ultra Independent. The Ultra Independent is all about staying in power and control, especially over our own choices. Which can lead to a complete dismissal and/or ignoring of your body. Your body does not always want to do things alone and prefers belonging to independence. This shadow was designed to protect us from betrayal and it does that by keeping its distance from others and not trusting someone ELSE to care for you. It’s a disconnect between our desire to be in control and our desire to connect. If you recognize yourself in this archetype, stick with me, as I will dive deep into this important topic in the next few episodes.
