As part of a look into the mental health aspect of obesity, we had the wonderful opportunity to interview Kelli Houghton, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker). Sheryl has sent many of her patients to work with Kelli as they work on the mental health side of things associated with their obesity. In this interview Kelli tells Sheryl and Quincy of the common mental health issues she sees in her practice with patients with obesity, she discusses the impact of trauma for these individuals, and she shares some of the tools she uses to help these patients work through this trauma.
