Manage episode 279244649 series 2577004
This week, Misty and Lisa review Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl.
Viktor Emil Frankl was an Austrian neurologist, psychiatrist, and Holocaust survivor. He was also the founder of logotherapy (literally "healing through meaning")–– a meaning-centered school of psychotherapy, considered the Third Viennese School of Psychotherapy –– following the theories developed by Sigmund Freud and Alfred Adler. He is the author of many books, but is most noted for his best-selling book Man's Search for Meaning based on his experiences in various Nazi concentration camps.
In this Man's Search for Meaning book review podcast, we cover something from each of the three sections in the book, including:
- Experiences in a Nazi Concentration Camp
- Logotherapy in a Nutshell
- Postscript 1984 - The Case for a Tragic Optimism
